Observe the mind and you will, at times, find an animal. This is especially true when we’re experiencing extreme emotions, such as anger, irritation, sadness, self-pity. Here’s one way you can become aware of your emotional states and put them into perspective so that they do not control you, and ruin your day!

I’m in Urdhva Dhanurasana, who cares about my belly rolls!” Negative thoughts can either shatter your self-confidence and inner strength, or serve as a reminder to keep it real and forget about pre-conceived notions of how you should look. Yoga is an easily accessible way to reveal these voices for what they really are, and it gives us the tools to conquer them rather than succumb.
